Kur'an'a baktığımız zaman İlah kelimesinin kök harflerinden hiç fiil gelmediği görülür. El-İlah şeklinde bir kullanımı da yoktur. Bu nokta da sadece Allah kelimesinin El-İlahı yansıttığı görülmektedir. Dolayısı ile Allah ve Tanrı kelimeleri birbirinin anlam eşiti değildir. İlahlar denebilir ama Allahlar denemez. Bu da birbirlerinin eşiti olmadıklarını gösterir. Onun için Allah'a tanrı denmesi doğru değildir.
