And no fruits emerge from their sheaths, nor does any female conceive or give birth, except by His knowledge. And on the Day He asks them: "Where are My partners" They will Say: "By your leave, none of us will testify to that." ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation To Him is referred knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits come forth from their sheaths and no female bears or gives birth save with His knowledge. And the day He calls them: — “Where are My partners?” — they will say: “We proclaim to Thee, there is not among us any witness.” ### Aisha Bewley Knowledge of the Hour is referred to Him. No fruits come out of their sheaths, nor does a female conceive a baby, nor does she deliver it, but with His knowledge. And (remember) the Day when He will call them: "Where are My partners?" They will say, “We declare to you that no one of us is to testify (that you have partners).” ### Al-Hilali & Khan To Him (Alone) is referred the knowledge of the Hour.[1] No fruit comes out of its sheath, nor does a female conceive nor brings forth (young), except by His Knowledge. And on the Day when He will call unto them (polytheists) (saying): "Where are My (so-called) partners (whom you did invent)?" They will say: "We inform You that none of us bears witness to it (that they are Your partners)!" ### Marmaduke Pickthall Unto Him is referred (all) knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits burst forth from their sheaths, and no female carrieth or bringeth forth but with His knowledge. And on the day when He calleth unto them: Where are now My partners? they will say: We confess unto Thee, not one of us is a witness (for them). ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary The knowledge of the Hour[1] rests solely with Him.[2] Not a fruit comes forth from its sheath, nor does any female conceive nor give birth to a child but it is in His knowledge.[3] On that Day He will call out to them: "Where are those associates of Mine?" They will say: “Now we submit ourselves to you and bear witness that there is no lord but God.” ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira He alone has knowledge of the Hour (of change): No fruit comes Out of its spathe, no female conceives or gives birth, but He has knowledge of it. The day He will call them (and ask): "Where are the compeers (you ascribed to Me)?" They will answer: "We profess to You not one of us can vouch for them." ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab To Him, the Ultimate source and Authority is attributed the knowledge of the point of time of the predetermined and Eventful Hour. And no blossoms come out of their calyces as seeds or fruits, nor does a female - human or animal- conceive a seed in her womb or gives birth to - a child or an animal respectively - but come to His knowledge. And there shall come the Day when He - Allah- calls them up-the infidels - to bring into their minds those whom they incorporated with Him. There and then shall they say: "We truly acknowledge, by way of reparations, our offence which we do regret and none of us can bear witness to a corporate deity." ### Shabbir Ahmed In Him alone is vested the knowledge of the Hour.
