There is also no other authoritative basis to help us arrive at a clear conclusion. It is possible that the repast was actually sent down. It is also possible that the disciples withdrew their prayer after hearing the stern warning in response to it. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Allah answered, "I am sending it down to you. ' ### Muhammad Asad God answered: "Verily, I [always] do send it down unto you: and so, if any of you should henceforth deny [this] truth, on him, behold, will I inflict suffering the like of which I have never [yet] inflicted upon anyone in the world!" ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Allah said: "I will send it down to you, but then he whose heart, thereafter, dare rise defiant against Allah and denies the truth, will I send to his account with all his sins and imperfections on his head to suffer the endless agony which doubles his torment and his woe to an extent which no one else in the universe will suffer". ### Syed Vickar Ahamed Allah said: "I will send it (the Table) down to you: But if any of you does not accept faith after that, I will punish him with a penalty like that I have not inflicted on anyone from among all the peoples. " ### Shabbir Ahmed Allah said, " I will make abundance for you as long as you remain loyal to the System.
