Biz onların üzerinde ezici bir güce sahibiz." Bütün bunlara rağmen Allah, merhametini gösterdi ve akıllarını başlarına alırlar diye Firavun ve halkını, kurak geçen yıllar ve kıtlıkla cezalandırdı. Ama başlarına iyi bir şey gelince "Bu bizim hakkımızdır!" diyor, bir kötülük dokununca da onun, Musa'nın ve yanındakilerin yüzünden olduğunu söylüyor, Musa'ya inanmayacaklarını kesin bir dille tekrarlıyorlardı. Sonra Allah, yine merhametini gösterdi ve onlara su baskınını, çekirge, kımıl zararlısı, kurbağa ve kan afetini ayrı ayrı mucizeler olarak gönderdi. Bir afet geldiğinde: "Ey Musa! Sana verdiği söz sebebiyle Rabbine bizim için dua et! Eğer bu afeti üzerimizden kaldırırsan kesinlikle sana inanacak ve kesinlikle İsrailoğullarını seninle birlikte göndereceğiz." diyorlar, sözlerini tutabilecekleri bir süreye kadar afet kaldırılınca da sözlerinden dönüyorlardı ([A'raf 7/123](https://acikkuran.com/7/123)-[136](https://acikkuran.com/7/136)). Sihirbazları bile öldüremeyen Firavun, iyice bunaldı ve bu ayete göre sadece İsrailoğullarının değil, inanan herkesin oğlunun öldürülmesi emrini verdi ama yine de başarılı olamadı. ### Ali Rıza Safa — Kur'an-ı Kerim Gerçek Sonunda, Bizim katımızdan gerçekle onlara geldiğinde, şöyle dediler: "Onunla birlikte inananların oğullarını öldürün, kadınlarını da sağ bırakın!" It was, in fact, meant to so terrify the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) himself and his supporters and followers that they should abandon him out of fear. - [2] Another meaning of this sentence can be: Whatever the disbelievers had plotted, was aimed at deviation, tyranny and antagonism to the truth. That is, even after being convinced of the truth in their hearts, they continued to show stubbornness and did not hesitate to adopt any mean device whatsoever in order to defeat and frustrate the truth. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Then, when he came to them with the truth from Us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who believe with him and keep their women."
