Oysa ayette geçen 'resulden ayrılmak', onun tebliğ ettiği şeylere yani doğrudan Allah'ın kitabına muhalefet etme anlamındadır. Allah'a itaat resule itaat ile mümkün olduğu için resulün tebliğ ettiği şeylere muhalefet Allah'a muhalefet anlamına gelir ([Nisa 4/80](https://acikkuran.com/4/80)). Ayrıca bu ayette geçen müminlerin yolu Allah Teala'nın emrettiği ve rasullerin tebliğ ettikleri doğru yoldur. Müminlerin yolunun Allah katında bir değer ifade etmesi, içtihat ehliyetine sahip olduğu söylenenlerin bir konudaki ittifakıyla değil, o yolun resulün gittiği yola yani kitaba uygun olup olmaması ile ilgilidir ([En'am 6/153](https://acikkuran.com/6/153), [Yusuf 12/108](https://acikkuran.com/12/108)). - [2] Şikak (شقاق) kelimesi, bir şeyde oluşan yarık ve bir şeyi yarmak manalarındaki şakk (شَقّ) kelimesinin mufaale babından mastarıdır. Yarığın iki tarafındaki her bölüme şikk (شِقّ) denir. Şikak, bir kişinin, arkadaşının durduğu şıktan farklı şıkta bulunmasıdır (Mekayis, Müfredat, Lisan'ul Arab). Kelimenin kökünde her ne kadar hakiki manada yarma, yarılma, yarık ve farklı şıklarda bulunma anlamları varsa da şikak kelimesi ve türevleri Kur'an-ı Kerim'de daha çok manevi anlamdaki farklılık için kullanılmıştır.
